Golden Hawks share BCSL/American Division title

| River Dell Girls' Varsity Volleyball team concluded a fabulous season, tying
for the BCSL - American Division crown with a league mark of 17-1. The Golden Hawks dropped a 2-1 decision to Dumont
in the second match of the season and avenged that setback with a 2-0 shutout of the Huskies on October 10 to share
the divisional crown with Dumont. |
| Led by juniors Julia Reilly and Alyssa May, the Golden Hawks finished first
in pool play at the Clarkstown (NY) Tournament on September 24. Following a bye in the preliminary round of the
NJSIAA State Tournament, Ruiver Dell blanked Cranford 2-0 in the Round of 16 before dropping a 2-1 decision to
perennial state-power Caldwell in the quarterfinals. |
| Four seniors, co-captains Patty Carnevale and Alyssa Montone along with
Brittany Barbarise and Katie Luft, will graduate while seven juniors will form nucleus of the 2006 squad that will
challenge not only to repeat as American Division champions but also to claim an NJSIAA championship plaque. |
